Jordan Imler

Meet Jordan

Jordan is a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) from The STAR Center, Inc., who recently made her transition to living and working in Memphis! Jordan is originally from a small town in middle Tennessee, and she received her degree in music therapy from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2025. Although new to the field, Jordan feels extremely passionate about working alongside youth to help them process, adapt, and heal from feelings or traumas that may be impeding their ability to live their most confident life. She has experience working with issues such as substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, and other various mood disorders.

How She Can Help

Music therapy with Jordan is a unique therapeutic experience, as she uses your favorite music as a guide to navigating all the confusing, difficult, and scary parts of being a teen. Jordan’s priority is meeting you where you’re at and supporting you using musical and nonmusical strategies.  Some days, you may write a song together, learn a new instrument, or just talk about some lyrics that stand out to you.

Jordan practices from a humanistic perspective, meaning therapy with her is person-centered, creative, and 100% accepting. She strives to build a safe space that you can come to with honesty and openness in every session.

In Her Free Time

When Jordan leaves work for the day, she is either going home to cook a good meal and watch a sitcom, or going out to sing some karaoke! She enjoys learning new crafts, thrifting, crocheting, and spending time with her beautiful cat, Andromeda. Jordan has also been enjoying finding cool new spots in this wonderful city she now calls home.
